On Life and Love

Faster, better, stronger.

So I miserably failed two more assignments from Fundamentals and scored mediocre on my OS test. But I managed to take time out of my Terrible Tuesday (just based on schedule) to give blood—in a record 8 minutes. Last time it was two bloody injections and twenty minutes once we got the needle settled.

There was no question about the iron, either—that blood sank wonderfully quickly. Unfortunately, I didn’t like my resting pulse, but I know that may be related to my lack of regular cardio work these days.

And my light-headed spell abated within about 30 seconds, which is significantly better than the five minutes I spent on the shower floor last night…

Ah, well. Off to work.

I got you beat with a sweet bleedin’ time of barely five minutes. Mwahahah…

“sweet bleedin’ time” lol! Yeah, you win, but 8 still beats 20 and excess blood loss by a long shot, so I’m happy, even if it’s a sign of perhaps less-than-stellar health in some ways. It meant I was able to get lunch and give blood within about an hour, which was exactly how much time I had.

Five minutes, though… damn. Maybe I’ll make that my goal for next time–squeeze that damn squishy thing until great gouts of blood are forced through the needle…

Okay, now I’m grossing myself out…
