On Life and Love,
beer
At game last night I actually had a beer I’d seek out again (courtesy of Steve): Wailua. It was still bitter, but — if this makes any sense — the bitterness actually had taste.
I hadn’t completely closed the door on beer, but my expectations were pretty low after few types I’d tried.

Don’t give up on beer yet!
Not only are there literally thousands of good ones (Once a few of mine are “finished” and mellowed out, I’ll bring `em over) — there are exotics like:

Beer “Cocktails”…one of my favorites being a “Lava Lamp” – Equal parts Harp Lager and Guinness Stout, with a splash of Lindemans Framboise (Raspberry) Lambic

My current favorite is Fat Tire.

I love the icon my site generated for you.
I’ll have to pick up some Fat Tire. The grocery store I’ve been to in my new area doesn’t have the widest selection of beer (no Wailua, for instance), so I may have to shop around a bit.
lissa — Total Wine Carries it. One thing with Fat Tire is as a non “beer person” it may have too much of that “hint-o-hops” for ya — for the Apricot, the brand Pyramid is a lot lighter.
Actually — had ANOTHER convert last week — someone who ADAMANTLY hates beer!!! (hated….rather) –>
It’s the Blueberry Beer they sell at Trader Joes. Kennebunkport is the brand. It is friggin’ excpetional
*dusts off hands* — my work here is done
I think my grocery bill this week will be expensive. When y’all come over for game on Tuesday, I may have a selection of fruity beers.
