External Tools

BlogWorks XML will happily accept posts submitted using tools that support
the Blogger API. There are a number of different tools currently available
 for various operating systems.

For Windows w.bloggar
 (w.b) and blogBuddy
 (bB) are among the best.

The information that you will need when setting up any of these applications
(apart from your User name and Password) is detailed below:

Host (w.b), Host name (bB) - your server's web
address - e.g. www.blogworks.com - no http://, no trailing slash, no backslashes and no directories allowed.

Page (w.b), Endpoint (bB) - the path to the file

listen.asp
in the admin_dir directory. Will probably look
something like (must start with a /):
/admin/listen.asp

Between the two fields you should have a complete URL that if typed into your
browser's address bar would bring up the
listen.asp
file. If you
do try that you will receive an XML message concerning the XML-RPC server's
status - it looks like an error but actually means everything is ok.

Most Tools include a weblogs.com updater. If you wish to use it you should disable the BlogWorks XML updater in the Settings page.

Accept other options as defaults.
