“Lina” posted
I’ve got another short up in the Transhuman Congress — “Lina“: “This is the first model of its type!” the voice above us said in breathy, fast voice. We opened our eyes — no. One of us opened his eyes, but we all see, and in that moment, we diverged. He/We looked up at the human, the blushing/flushed/excited/!! human man leaning over us.

Links for July 8th from 09:39 to 09:40: Lexington: The underworked American | The Economist – "American children also have one of the shortest school days, six-and-a-half hours, adding up to 32 hours a week. By contrast, the school week is 37 hours in Luxembourg, 44 in Belgium, 53 in Denmark and 60 in Sweden. On top of that, American children do only about an hour’s-worth of homework a day, a figure that stuns the Japanese and Chinese." Links for June 26th from 08:26 to 08:26: 5 Pet Peeves Designers Have With Developers (and How to Avoid Them) | Webdesigner Depot – "I’ve had to deal with more than one developer who read an article by Jakob Nielson and then wanted to lecture me about good design practice in the middle of a meeting." I suppose if you're paying devs enough to release an unusable site, they should just shut up and code monkey it.

“Hot and Heavy” posted
It’s absolutely a piece of fluff, but I swear, the thing pretty much wrote itself from start to finish. I’m not going to give it much introduction except to say that it’s Team Fortress 2 related: “Hot and Heavy“.
