Tidying up LARP character sheets: an app in progress
So. I LARP. Twice a month, I go out of my house dressed like a nurse and stand around acting like I see ghosts and have an extra-special creepy ghost of my own on my shoulder. Yeah, so if I’m late to your Saturday afternoon picnic this summer, this is likely why. I LARP in White Wolf‘s Geist system, which is very new in the LARP world — the worldwide game just started in March. New TC story: Spiral’s End
Finally! A new story! Even my wrist won’t hold me down. Less than a week left in the cast! Before I give the link to the story, though, here’s a big, tacky warning: this story is explicit. It’s dark and includes drugs and sex. Okay, that’s done. “Spiral’s End” is a new Transhuman Congress story, and is a step in Lina’s path to her corronation as Empress, mentioned in “Cultivating Progress“. It’s part of the “Rise of an Empress arc, which the other Lina development stories have been moved into.

Mo’ money, mo’ problems: a retirement app idea
I mentioned this obliquely a couple of weeks ago, but I’m wigging out a bit about retirement. In 39 years I will be 65, and I don’t have solid plans with numbers behind them. Socking away $5k a year into an IRA just isn’t enough. Back in the day, I loved, loved, loved Microsoft Money’s Lifetime Planner.
