    It was marvelous. It was exhausting. I’m still sore. With everyone’s help, I raised $660 in the Hopebuilders 5k fundraiser. Thank you! Saturday, at the surprisingly early-feeling 08:00 EST, me, Greg, Scott, Shelton, and Kim gathered in the morning chill. I was already leg-sore from a Jillian Michaels workout Friday night. (I do that workout on mute–something about her manner is so off-putting.)

    New Office Setup

    For the last two weeks, I’ve been depriving myself of good health and sleep in the interests of getting a couple of volunteer websites off the ground, writing, and cleaning and throwing away crap in preparation for having a temporary roomie at the end of the month. My office is becoming a guest bedroom, and my new desk and reading chair are moving into the bedroom. Looking at this in the long-term, it’s great, because it means I can push for a two-bedroom apartment when Greg and I inevitably move.     For some reason, I felt like I didn’t have a lot of links this week for all the cruising I did, but I was wrong. I plowed through 280 Google Reader posts and was caught up as of yesterday afternoon. It may never happen again. The survey’s authors concluded that there was “widespread confusion” about “the line between teaching and preaching.” – I'd like to see the stats for people who had taken part in Unitarian Universalist religious education–my understanding is that that program spans multiple religions.     The “It Gets Better” Project

    In light of the recent LGBT teen deaths, Dan Savage started what’s called the It Gets Better project on YouTube as a way to say to these teens what he wishes he could have before they died: high school is shit and it gets better. I think it’s an awesome project. (Via the Washington Post)
