    Faster, better, stronger.

So I miserably failed two more assignments from Fundamentals and scored mediocre on my OS test. But I managed to take time out of my Terrible Tuesday (just based on schedule) to give blood—in a record 8 minutes. Last time it was two bloody injections and twenty minutes once we got the needle settled. There was no question about the iron, either—that blood sank wonderfully quickly. Unfortunately, I didn’t like my resting pulse, but I know that may be related to my lack of regular cardio work these days. And my light-headed spell abated within about 30 seconds, which is significantly better than the five minutes I spent on the…

    Making a decision.

Fuck the Thorn and school for the next forty-five minutes. This is me time. I need to think. I have a problem. The problem is that my workload is unmanageable. This is sad, because it doesn’t bode well for my success at Rose if seventeen credit hours is enough to bring me down. Regardless, the problem is there. So I have crutches. (Whoa, buddy you can build up dangerous momentum with those things, and corners are eViL.) I have a referral to get an X-Ray, but my father—and, subsequently, I—is/am/are between medical insurances with the new job, so I have to find out how much that’ll run me out-of-pocket. Grr. No running, no walking, no biking. Just upper-body weight-lifting, if I’m so inclined. Can’t say I…

    Hmph.

Five hours of computer use followed by five hours of sleep have been sufficient to bring back my eye problems. Redness, burning, problems focusing, the re-development of a headache induced by eye strain, and the feeling that I’ve dropped about a prescription level in the past two weeks (driving yesterday was fun…). I’ve even increased the size of fonts on my monitor. *whimper* I’m going to hold out on changing the resolution until I’m damn-near blind, though. $1500 were not payed for this monitor so that it could sit at some typical LCD resolution. Bah. I am breaking or getting old, one of the two. I know I used to…
