Bad idea du jour
Going for a run when tired or sleepy? Not so bad. It’ll wake you up. Going for a run when exhausted and sleepy and near a breaking point? Not such a good idea. I got almost a half-hour into my 05:00 run this morning (no sleep, très stressful day and night) before I realized that I’d almost dozed twice. How in the hell do you doze while running at a good clip? By a half-hour, I was basically stumbling along numbly, so I ran the Hill to get back to my dorm room, dizzy and cloudy-headed. Thirty-minute jaunt
I held a 11:06 min/mi pace for the first 10:35, then held a 9:13 min/mi (!!!) pace until the twenty-minute mark. The final then minutes were at 11:06 min/mi again. I can’t believe I just [almost easily] ran for a mile at 9:13. I didn’t think I’d ever run that fast in my life.

Forty-five minutes, 4 miles
See above. Average pace around 11:20 min/mi. Remarkable about today’s SRC run was the beautiful piece of eyecandy on the rowing machine. Intensity in a compactly-built person-sized package.
