    These past few days have been busy and stressful enough to send me to tears. Anyway, we finally got WO’s hair cut (after months of talking about doing it), and… I have photos! Roommate-Guy was less than impressed, but I’m pleased, and WO seems pleased that I’m pleased, so everything is cool. Plus, WO says Roommate-Guy has no taste. As for what else has been going on, there were the 10 hours I’ve spent since Friday evening on my Software Requirements and Specifications project (and we were ahead!) and the 6-ish hours I just spent on my AI project.     Saying the right thing to the wrong person.

    It dawned on me that for many of us, our lives contain these wrong people who we continue to try to please (but won’t ever) and these fixer-upper situations that just continue to spring leaks as we scramble to patch them. And the point is that the fixer uppers won’t ever be fixed. Some fixer-uppers of course just need a little paint and the odd ant trap. Others are an emotional money pit.     Finally, finally.

    I finally finished We Few, the latest book by David Weber and John Ringo in the Prince Roger series of stories. I say “finally” because this means I can refocus on homework and stop slacking off. It was a damned good book, but I’m curious as to whether the series will continue.
