    Bestest. Pictures. Ever.

On the left is Bob, on the right, Luke. If they’d had sunglasses, they’d have been unstoppable. We were all trussed up for the Career Fair on Wednesday. Now, Luke insists that he was looking “damned sexy”, but I happen to think most men look better in suits. He insists that he in particular was damned sexy. Of course, Luke is a narcissistic glamor-shot-lovin’ boy who posed for entire series of photos with no qualms whatsoever where I would have run away to hide. The remainder of those photos are sitting safe and sound on my computer… *smirk* Right. So. Paper production was decent this week, although I [accidentally] put…

    Got it covered, Cap’n.

The entity that is Bluke Starlein was quoted in a local newspaper article. Yay Bluke! I was nominated for EIC at the Thorn meeting. I will have a staff of unknowns. I will have to work hella hard to get everyone together and enthusiastic and learning and working productively enough to keep me from needing to clean up behind them so much that I might as well be doing the original work myself. And I haven’t had the business aspects put on me yet. One thing makes it better, though: our contact at the printing company is a very nice guy. His advice for me on Tuesday was that “If…

    Yes!

The Fuck-Me-in-the-Ass assignment previously due tomorrow at 08:00 in my Fuck-Me-in-the-Ass-Class is now due on Monday at noon. I honestly had to choke back tears, right there in class. This class is killing me, but a weekend will be nice, since the full design of our team project is due to review on Friday. *whimper*.

Damn. Even my father’s asking why I don’t update.

I am riding a wave of efficiency while it lasts. Things are coming together to permit me to work for hours without cease on everything from my programming projects to discrete math, and quite frankly, I’d be a fool to use that energy here when it’s so needed and actually usable elsewhere. Call this my winter hibernation. I will be back in more force in the spring. I’m following good, healthy advice and doing my best to make everything school-related as fun and interesting as possible. I spent eleven-plus hours in our Operating Systems lab yesterday with my team. I knocked out about 90% of my portion of the project,…

    Fascinating.

All sound exiting my laptop exits slightly slower (and at a lower tone, like a Doppler shift) than it should. At first I thought it was the dublab stream on the blitz, but it sounds odd in any application or with any file type. So I shall be submitting my laptop to my own place of employment tomorrow later for a replacement sound card, methinks. <edit>Or not. The problem has ceased…</edit> I think I shall spend Saturday night (my only non-statically allocated time this weekend) blogging, reading blogs/sites, and writing e-mails to make up for my lack of real human contact and updates since last Sunday. This week was long…
